i'm 33+4 and earlier today physically felt my baby turn and drop, ever since i have baan having bh, quite regular between 15-30 mins apart (roughly i'm not timing) they are not painfull (any more) just uncomfortable and i cant sleep Sad shes very low and there is lots of pressure down there, especially when i stand up.

but why do i feel the need to go to the toilet every 10 minutes? and i'm actually emptying my bladder, where is it all coming from? i havent drank that much water, but since 1.30 this morning every 10 minutes i have despratly needed a wee nand have actually gone, not a little dribble but quite a substantial amount.

why is this?

I think it sounds like you need to go in to labour ward and see a midwife face to face.

I'm saying that as a mum of prems.

You need to ring the hospital but you know that all ready really don't you !

:)

i just dont want to be laughed out of the hospital and i'm not entirely sure what to say if i were to ring, every thing just sounds so stupid and overly paranoid

They wouldn't laugh at you !

It does sound like you need to go in and to be on the safe side take your bag with you. It couple be normal pregnancy stuff.. (I've never been 33 weeks so I dont knowwhats normal at that point!) it could be a uti or it coule be the start of labour but you do need to get it checked out.

I promise you the midwives won't laugh at you :)

How are you feeling now ?

addictedisgettingexcited · 20/09/2010 05:00

i'm only having bh when i stand up and then i feel like she is going to fall out! so i am staying sat on the sofa, although still going to the toilet every 10 minutes so bh are every 10 minutes when i stand.

why isnt pregnancy just stright forward?

I hear ya. Both of mine were awful!

Are you sure what your 'weeing' is wee ? I only ask is my waters went early with both of mine and with ds I only knew because I had what I though was a HUGE wee at 2am and couldnt work out where it was all coming from.

If you ring the ward and say you've been having regular bh and you think you might be losing some fluid and I guarantee they'll want you to go in.

Please don't feel anxious about going in.. It is what midwives are for :)

Have you got someone to drive you there ?

((hug))

addictedisgettingexcited · 20/09/2010 05:15

dh is here, and thankfully working closer to home this week (he usually works a 2-3 hour drive away)

i'm pretty sure its wee, but maybe i'm wrong. i think if i havent improved by 9am i'll give my mw a ring. shes very lovley and helpfull and i dont think she will laugh at me! Grin

thankyou

Have a good sniff, amniotic fluid smells like hay :)

Anyway I am off for a snooze now as my break at work !

Good luck, I'll check in tomorrow :)

How are you now?

addictedisgettingexcited · 20/09/2010 14:42

i'm now in hospital, they think i may be in early labour but have high blood pressure, protine in my urine and something was wrong with my blood results. Waters seem to have stopped leaking (they are fairly sure they were) and are keeping me in till 4.30 when they will do lots of tests all over again and decide wheather to send me home or transfer me to a diffrent hospital (on account of me not being 34 weeks yet!)

Thankyou for pushing me to call the mw Smile

i'm back at home, they are confident my waters have stopped leaking for now and there is lots of fluid around the baby so are happy with that. They've given me some anti-biotics to take for the next week. I have a list of symptoms and if i develop any of them i have to go back in.
I'm seeing my mw today shes going to check me over and make sure there is still enough fluid there - which i think there is because my bump hasnt got any smaller!

But they are keeping a close eye on me now. Again thankyou for listening to me and convincing me to go in and see someone!
