Back on antenatal ward, they want to break my waters tomorrow morning, VBAC may actually happen, eek!

I've been in and out with possible preeclampsia for nearly 3 weeks now. Bloods are looking ok but bp and proteinuria getting worse. Cons was all set to schedule section for morning but cervix is 1cm and soft so going for ARM instead. What do I need to know? DP gone home and head empty, sure I should be asking questions!

Just interested, did you have the drip in the end?

In my own bed but unable to sleep due to snoring 3 year old and snoring newborn! Yes had drip, think they ramped it up too fast for me (following protocol, apparently) cos managed fine on TENS until 4ish then until 5.30ish with gas but got totally out of control with really fast hard contractions then at only 5cm and lost the plot a bit and they had to turn it down. Got morphine (fairly laid into the midwife for her audacity in giving me an injection - oops) so the next couple of hours are fuzzy but had sudden urge to push during shift change at 8 and she literally flew out shortly afterwards. Many humorous moments which will entertain DP for years to come, including me demanding that the midwife took her fingers out of my urethra immediately . Fab midwives made it a brilliant experience, despite the total agony it was much better than my section ... I can walk today, for example!

She's gorgeous and soft and delicious :)
