leg cramp and labour?

woken up again in the middle of the night by excruciating leg cramp from groin to calf, and concerned that this might happen during labour? am currently 39+2 and have had a trouble free pregnancy and stayed very active throughout, some may say too active!

only ever get it at night when sleeping and accidently stretch my leg but then i'm next to useless until seizure has passed

hoping to be as mobile as possible during birth, so perhaps it won't even happen, just wondered if anyone has any experience of this or tips?

I had night time leg cramps through my pregnancy, I found pushing my foot flat againstthe wall while sitting on the bed made it go away.
During labour I did get cramp when my legs were up in stirrups, but I had mw and dp to massage them better :)

I had the same leg cramps in my first pregnancy and didn't get them at all in labour so you might be ok too (smile)

Had leg cramps in all four pregnancys and did have them when I was delivering DS2, was shouting "my leg my leg" during delivery and both Dp and the midwife looking at me as if I was mad.
Quite a good distraction technique though Smile
