Second induction quicker than first?

I am one day overdue with my second baby and have no started thinking about the possiblities of being induced again :(

This baby is still very high as my DS was and he never engaged. Was induced at 12 days over and had him at 14 days over. It only took one gel to get things started and water broke by themselves but unfortunately I felt the urge to push, was told I was fully dilated, pushed for 1 1/2 hours and was examined again to be told that I was actually only 5cm dilated and to fight the urge to push. My contractions really slowed down after this and I ended up with Syntocinon drip.

Was just wondering if there were those that were induced a second time around and only needed gel/pessary to get them going or if it was quicker second time around or those that were very overdue but managed to avoid a induction second time around?

Thanks.

Mine was a LOT slower.

My second induction was much faster than my first one.

First one: induced at 40+7 and the baby arrived after 40 hours of established labour.

Second one: induced at less than 39wks and the baby arrived after 10 hours of established labour.

Third one: induced at EDD and only 6hrs of labour.
