Hi,

Has a Ds 2 yrs ago and had pain since, i was sure it was episiotomy scar. Finally went to see GP, refered to gynea. Well it turns out its a small area (internal Blush) that might have been a tear/graze from birth that won't heal and gets ulcerated due to friction Blush. So they are talking about removing area and restitching, anyone else had this done. For some reason i am terrified, as at least last time i had a newborn to gaze at whilst they were working!

i havne't had a repair of the nature you describe but ive had major episiotomy problems. i'm not sure what to say to help but i know from other threads that other mumsnetters have had repairs done so someone should be able to offer you some advice. hopefully this response will bump your post to get people's attention. also you may wish to read this thread for lots of info on people who have had epiosotomy problems, some of whom had repairs.

all the best.

hello
i had to have similar done 12months after dd was born.

i opted to have it done under ga was nowhere near as painful as original tears and healed a lot quicker as well.
