[blush] Really really really embarassing question (warning - lady bits involved)

I was wondering if anyone could help me as I have a rather embarassing problem that quite franky I don't think my doctor is taking seriously.

16 days ago I had an emergency section. I was in hospital for 5 days and had lots of anti biotics (which is why I now have thrush down there). But apart from that, for that past week or so I've noticed quite a few sizable and solid feeling growths as well. When I asked the doctor about it (when she was diagnosing my thrush), she said they were just 'begnin' growths.
I've never heard of such a thing and was wondering if this was typical post pregancy and I just need to put up with them or whether they might be something else. I've tried googling them but nothing seems to match what I have.
Apologies for lengthly and grim message, but am really concerned as to the state of my bits!

Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.

What are these growths like? After my last baby I noticed I had a small lump only inner labia that was not there before.

porcamiseria · 30/08/2010 10:15

this sounds odd, get a second opinion for sure. they are crap about stuff that benign, but I've never heard of this

Were you in labour/pushing before the section? Could they be bulging veins or something like that?

ilovefirelighters · 30/08/2010 14:17

second opinion, definately. with ds i had 20hrs of labour 4 of which i was pushing. ds got stuck and had to have emcs. i didnt experience anything like what you have discribed. i recently was lucky enough to be my friends birhting partner. mw said she didnt 'need' stitches but there were a few skin tags that she can stitch back for cosmetic reasons if she wanted. my friend wasnt sure and asked me to look to see what i would do. when i looked they were about 5mm each. does this sound similar? i would want a second opinion and also a proper diagnosis. after section with ds i was 'looked at' down below and at scar. fairly often by comunity mw and then hv. have yours had a lil look? if not maybe they can help.

I had "lumps" around my labia after both DS births.Noticed them a few weeks after, pea sized hard lumps.Went to GP who said they were something-can't remember what-and they would go away, which they did.

Thank you for all the replies- you've made me realise I'm not just being paranoid. Woopsidaisy what you had sounds like what I've got. As I didn't get to the pushing stage of labour before emcs don't think it can be a tare or anything like that. Think am going to wait until thrush is cleared and go back for a second oppinion, am sure I'm stressing over nothing but it's just horrible having a lumpy nether region :(
