Congrats pample and USMum!!!

Anyone online this early?? Help!!

After sweep yesterday which thoroughly wrecked my pelvis I was up a bit during the night with twinges/cramps. Then there was some yellowy gunk (lovely!) and then about half an hour ago quite a lot of muscousy blood (again...nice!) which I'm pretty certain was my sh=ow.

Doc said yesterday my cervix was open but hadn't shortened much, before the sweep.

But now I've been having what really feel like cx for last half hour, mostly lower back, really, really frickin painful, can barely breathe or speak during them. Have taken paracetamol, have hot water bottle and am typing on all fours (everyone get a good laugh at that image btw!)

Could this be real labour, so soon after show? SHould I be timing cx? Or am I just a complete wimp who is mistaking early/spurious labour for the real thing???? Is it time to break out the tens machine?

Your advice much appreciated - I'm freaking out!!

Hi Littemiss well it sounds like it is all starting def pop your tens on, watch something that makes you laugh, eat something yummy, and dance your way around your home to allow baby to get in a great position. Keep us posted x

Sounds like it!

My cx started 2 hours after my sweep

If the cx don't stop when you change position then they are the real thing

Good luck!

Is this your first baby LittleMiss? How are you getting on?

DeeLightful · 28/08/2010 18:24

Hi there hun, you definitely sound to be in labour and should be progressing nicely now if it is your first, which I believe it is from the question posted and the way you have stated how you are feeling. I look forward to finding out what you have and try to enjoy it...if not the labour your baby will be the blessing you were waiting for so enjoy babba.

Sounds like labour but the contractions need to be getting stronger, longer and closer together for it be established labour. Until they are try not too get too excited as this could go on for a looonnnnnngggg time. Good luck!
