How long can latent labour last?

I am 40+3 and had a show yesterday at about 11am and have had some intermittent slight discomfort since then but nothing like a cx.

I also have a feeling my waters are leaking (sorry TMI) as my knickers seem to be getting wetish (not like discharge).

So how long could it last?? Could I still be looking at days and days (even weeks?).

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not long at all now! The wetness is probably your mucus plug coming away. It can be quite watery. Stick a pad in and do some walking and even some lunges!
Keep up right. What have hospital said?
Have you had a sweep? You could go into the day unit at hospital and get checked.

It is my first so I have nothing to compare the process to. I have just walked the dogs but it doesn't seem to have changed anything!

The discomfort is associated with a 'tightening' feeling- but I couldn't really call it pain and there's no pattern to it.

DH is spontaneously baking- think the nesting thing hit him not me??

I haven't rung the hospital as I didn't think I had enough news to interest them yet.

I looove the idea of sitting on the loo and reading erotic literature Grin I am only 28 weeks but will make a note of that one- definitely must beat pacing round worrying. Also, sounds like you'll have some scrummy cakes to eat after. Perfect!
I have now started bouncing between the Pregnancy topics and the Childbirth ones, presumably I have just hit a certain point where these things are fascinating.
Good luck EBDteacher, hope it all goes really well and you let us know how you progress x
