Hi

I had had the whole of the perineum stitched up and there is a line of scar tissue - about 3 inches or so

Has anyone had further babies and what happens to the scar tissue - does it tear fully or partially or does anyone cut that area?

is fenton's procedure if you have a third or fourth degree tear or are there women who have had this with a second degree tear?

thanks

I had Fenton's for 1st baby (3rd deg tear). 1st deg tear with DD2, only sutured because they were VERY jumpy about my perineum's history! Dd3 grazes only, so no, repair held up fine. Does look a bit tear-along-the-dotted-line though!
