Despite 2 previous straightforward SVDs on gas&air only. Told you it was irrational Hmm

Tell me about epidurals or try and kick my arse into a positive space, please. Thanks

Thanks marjee, yikes! I'm approaching the whole thing (rightly or wrongly...) assuming they'll try and make me stay at home longer than I want to and try and stop me having an epidural, so dp and I will be going in all guns blazing!

notnowbernard, I found no.3 was the easiest labour of all, gas and air and 2nd the birthing ball recommendation.

1st labour I had an epidural because I was so scared of the pain, with hindsight I wish that I hadn't.

I'm 6months (ish, bad mummy cannot remember how pg I am!) with no. 4 and I can relate to the stage that you are talking about, when everything is well under way and not feeling able to communicate that feeling to those with you during the labour. With no 2 I kept bellowing 'Something is happening' at that stage Grin

Prior to having no.3 I told DP that when I started to say that it meant that I really needed him and it worked. I'm hoping to repeat the experience with no 4 and the fact that we have our code word arranged does give me some comfort.

Hope everything goes how you want it to.
