Anyone had experience of a good doula in the W Yorks/ E Lancs area?

Hi

I'm due number 2 in September, and have decided to hire a doula for the birth.

I'm going to look on the Doula UK and Doula directory websites, but in the meantime I was wondering whether any of you had anyone you would particularly recommend?

Planning to have baby in Halifax, so looking for someone either Burnley way or Bradford.....

Cheers in advance

Hi Craftynap,

I've got no personal experience but didn't want to leave this unanswered. Ruth at Choices in Childbirth www.aquabirthsathome.co.uk/page_1714522.html is an absolute wonder who may be able to put you in touch with local doulas and groups.

Hope this is a help!

Hello Craftnap.
I am a doula and I work at Halifax, Bradford and Airedale. I would be more than welcome to talk to you and help point you in the right direction. You can see me on my website which is www.emmaspecialdelivery.co.uk and also look at www.doulauk and www.douladirectory.co.uk. Hope this helps. 01535 272334 x x
Emma
