Does anyone have experience of their autistic teen hearing voices, seeing dark shapes, feel like they are being watched, controlled etc?

My DS had a similar experience hearing voices and having irrational fears when he was younger, we have schizophrenia in the family so we were very worried. The doctor said to us it was more likely to start during or after puberty. DS was very unhappy at school when it occurred, he is now okay.

I have no experience, sorry but you may find this website useful. The Voice Collective is a UK–wide project that supports young people who hear voices, see visions, or have other sensory experiences or beliefs.

Thank you. She is being referred again to EIS as stopped taking her meds which had been working. Psych hoping autism related so fingers crossed.
