Issues with 9 year old

Hello, I’ve been having issues with my 9 year old daughter. I’m a single mother to her and have been since she was 2 weeks old. I have issues with her coming home going straight out to play with her friends then when I want her to come back in I get sworn at, she always wants 5 more minutes which ends up being a lot longer. When I end up finally saying enough is enough come back she then goes on to say she wants to kill herself. Which I’m really upset about, and it stresses me out on top of my stress at work. It results in me buying her presents and being super nice to her as the last thing I want is for her to feel like that. I don’t give her consequences as I worry so much about her saying these comments about what she wants to do to herself. Just wondered if anyone’s had similar issues like this? Is this normal with hormones and her age?

I think she needs firm boundaries and appropriate consequences for her actions. I appreciate that in the short term it will be hard but it will pay off longer term.
