Very worried about my boy. Always been happy but last few weeks has started to suffer from anxiety I think and is hyperventilating. Also he seems to be struggling with noisy environments, eg playground, classroom. Last couple of weeks we have had calls from school to collect him and he has struggled to stay in the classroom. He also is struggling with sleep and on a ne occasion was frustrated and slapping his face. He will not open up about if something is wrong and says he has no problems at school. His mum took him to the GP but she said the GP was unhelpful and the school though trying are at a loss to about what is causing things and I’m worried they are losing their patience.

Sounds like panic attacks are possibly, since sleep is affected, something has happened/might happen that's bothering them. Do you know if the school has access to a mental health in schools team (all schools should have access by next year, but not all do now.)
