Thinking of a group for children

Hi everyone

I was doing some research about social skills among children and it led me to many online posts (not just Mumsnet) about bullying, children not being invited to parties (for many reasons) or play dates etc. It was quite upsetting to read some of the posts. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a group where children who have such experiences could be supported, maybe by having a party for them or cards sent to them to cheer them up for example? Is this a good idea or do I just need to go to bed and have a decent kip? All constructive replies welcomed TIA

Of course it's a great ideat - but...

Setting? Who will run it (trained person)? What kids would attend? Funding?
Lots to consider I think.

@MumChp thanks for your reply. I was thinking of an online group, made up of parents. Birthday cards can be sent to the child(ren) to help them feel better. But I see what you mean. Simple idea but complicated when you look into it properly
