Anxiety in 4 year olds

Has anyone experienced this?

The last week or so my 4 year old hasn't really been himself. I think because of the upcoming transition from nursery to school and he's nervous

The last 2/3 days he's been saying that his tummy hurts, and he feels sick. He's so vacant and walks around looking so depressed.

He won't sleep unless it's in my bed, and when I transfer him back to his when he's asleep, he wakes in the middle of the night usually crying and comes back in with me (we've never co-slept previously)

He's not eaten properly the last few days because he says he feels sick

He keeps saying he wants to go home whenever we are out, and gets very tearful and upset when we are out

Does anyone have any advice on how to help him?

Obviously I keep reassuring him and trying to get him to talk about his feelings, but he doesn't seem to want to give me much.

I feel so sad for him, he looks so unhappy 😞

Could he be being clingy and not himself simply because he is unwell?

I would t jump to anxiety tbh, he is 4 I would assume he isn't well.

Has anything else happened? Or changed?
