I no longer know what to do and I’m now not coping.

My 16 year old DD has suffered extreme anxiety much of her life, it prevents her and us as a family doing almost everything.

She stays in bed most of the time, misses most of school and has zero social life and next to no friends.

This last while her mental health has deteriorated rapidly, she barely eats as she states she can’t swallow without gagging, won’t do anything to try to help herself and speaks of not wanting to live like this any longer. She begs me for ways she can be normal but I simply don’t know what to do.

We’ve tried Doctors they suggest online reading to help but my daughter is beyond that. She’s in the list for CAHMS which is around 3 years long.

What can I do, has she reached the point of a breakdown. I’m trying to hold down 2 jobs but I’m exhausted as I’m not sleeping either with worry.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, right now I see no way back from this for either of us.

Oh your poor DD. Would she be up to taking e.g music lessons, once a week, just something to keep her in touch with people her age ? I think it's so important at 16
