Dd 11, has had bad travel sickness ever since she was a toddler, we’ve tried everything, you name it, we’ve tried it…. As she’s got older she gets super anxious the night before, stating she doesn’t want to go etc, some cases throwing up, it’s usually only ever on the way somewhere, she’s got better in terms of us feeding her a bit half way there and it seems to curb it, I know how unsettling it feels as I sometimes feel sick whilst travelling. We’ve got her sick bags. Problem is, DS 16 has asd so it’s not easy travelling with him either, but tomorrow she’s going to chessington with DP, DS, and my sister (20) is going as I have something else planned. As soon as it got near bedtime I could tell by her face something was up, she started having a panic attack. She’s okay now but… she was asking for me to go, I’m a bit on the bigger side and so can’t get on 90% of the rides at chessington, I also have vertigo so some rides are a defo write off. I can as they’ve already booked with thier Merlin passes (DS has a carers pass which my sister will use tomorrow). I feel bad but I know once she gets thier she will have a great time. I’ve told DP who can also be a bit military whilst at places like that to calm it down whilst there. I am going to Thorpe park with them in 2 weeks so she’s absolutely fine about that. Thing is she’s been plenty of places without me… anyone got any other remedies I can try for child anxiety…

I know you say you’ve tried everything but does that include Stugeron taken two hours before travel?

yep tried them, actually we usually use kwells more recently and they’ve worked better than sturgeon. We’ve used ear patches, wristbands, She’s still sick no matter what. She’s hates taking tablets, like gets herself super worked up. It almost makes me not want to travel anywhere, tbh I dread holidays, because it’s just so much stress. We only do uk holidays, gotta travel to Blackpool in may, luckily splitting it up as visiting family half way on the way there and back.

I really feel for you all. DS had it and it's horrible.
