Hi

Dc 16 diagnosed with autism, always had an issue with loud, harsh, sharp, aggressive sounds.

Dc has asked for some earplugs to help reduce or muffle these sounds that startle and upset them.

I'm looking at the earplugs, but they seem to be for either sounds that are annoying (chewing, general bacground noise) or general.loud situations noise reduction (at gigs etc).

I'm a bit lost as to any that might be suitable for dc, can anyone help me?

Many thanks.

Flares do that. It's specifically what they are designed to do.

Ah thank.you! I was looking a bit at them tjen just gettng really confused!

We've just been to.the theatre whete dc has spent the 2nd half slouched down in theiir seat so people couldnt easily spot them covering their ears trying to anticipate loud parts, didnt realise how bad it was getting.

Will look at Flares, thank you.
