I have a child aged 9. Struggles to regulate. Eg told not to do something and goes to do it anyway and when spoken to calmly will fly off the handle - they have a full complicated EHCP. In mainstream school and on track academically.
Main problems taking things literally and after school having masked all day basically struggling to regulate.

Screens limited as is TV.

struggles to sit still awaiting assessments for autisms and adhd.

A guided timed app on a phone would be great.

money tight do a free app even better.

anyone know of any free app to help focus and breathing and mediation or yoga based? Any one use any for children?

The Calm app might be helpful and there is I think a basic free version although the full annual cost is about £30 which might be in your budget? It has a specific kids section.

Thanks for your quick reply. I’ve managed to download headspace app for free through work and they have a good section for children so I’m sorted thanks. If anyone works in education or certain nhs jobs they can get headspace for free 👍
