Hi
I was looking at doing a quick survey, because after three years of fighting for my daughter who has had ADHD ODD, social anxiety and non-attendance to school.
I feel with all the knowledge that I have experienced throughout my challenge with the school GPs CAMHS, SENDIASS inclusion board complaints to the school.
I wanted to pass my knowledge on to order struggling parents out there.
I have no help or directions to follow, and if something was there to help me, I would’ve got where I am and I am now a lot quicker.
My daughter wouldn’t have missed so much of an education.
I’m looking at starting a charity to help others with free advise.

I would like to know if any parents out there would think that this would be beneficial to them?

Yes I think they would. I am now in the process of trying to get an EHCP sorted for my daughter and dealing with school on a daily basis. It's exhausting and there are no clear rules. I feel like navigating the system is another FT job!

I hope things are better for your DD now @Mumslikeme

I have been waiting since December last year for one. My daughter has had 25% attendance last year and they refused to complete on.
sendiass will be able to send you a form to complete but not easy to complete.
have you been in touch with the inclusion board.
you can register them for an educational officer. Takes time but they will complete the EHCP if needed.
mall takes time but start the process

I'm sure they would!

I was also there with ds and would have loved to have a charity to help me navigate it rather than spend what little energy I had researching.

Sounds like a wonderful plan and I hope you succeed Flowers
