my son is 5 and had a small fall out with his cousins (age 5 and 6) It was over there not being enough toys of the same colour. They were also doing the usual child stuff like telling tales over my son (he said shut up and other small things) was constant telling tales and my son was getting rather upset.
Fast forward a few days later, my son was talkin about that day again and said he hates playing with those children and he just wants to die and kill himself whilst smacking his own head. Hes never ever had a display of this behaviour before. Hes a very happy and confident child generally and doing really well in school and socially too. naturally we were so taken aback and upset by what he said.
I felt like he maybe needs some sort of outlet as he doesn’t know how to express himself when hes upset or angry?

Has anyone else had this from their young children? any advice? xx
