Worried about my daughter

My dd10 is autistic. Last night her behaviour was like nothing I've ever seen before. Very very angry, wide eyed, lashing out at me, very distressed etc. she went to bed and I went to check on her at 5.30am as I could hear her iPad on and she was still awake and said she hadn't slept at all and proceeded to cry and scream that she was uncomfortable. It felt like she was a different child. She actually scared me. She has been suffering with a cold and sore throat, I even wondered if it could be PANDA's? Any one else ever experienced this ?? I want to help her but don't know where to turn.

My ASD dd is like this when she's in pain. She doesn't understand what it is and just becomes aggressive and so emotional. Last year she came home from school very angry, lashing out, distressed but couldn't communicate to me what the actual problem was. Didn't sleep very well. Next morning I noticed the side of her face was swollen and realised she had a tooth abscess. She must of been in agony but really doesn't process pain the way we do.

Might be worth getting her a check up with your gp to rule an ear infection or similar out if she's already been unwell. Hope she's feeling more herself soon xx

@lovedive thanks I did wonder this but she is very good at telling me when she is in pain even when it's the tiniest thing wrong like a slight scratch etc.

She's sleeping now finally !
