Constant poo chat

Hi all, I'm a middle-aged Dad of two small boys. One of my boys is six. He is a delightful, intelligent and creative little thing, but I am frankly being driven to dark places by poo chat. All the time. For months. Morning, noon when its the weekends, and nights. Dozens of times, perhaps even hundreds, a day. There's a chicken in your poo. You're poo is weeing. There's a poo in your farts. What did the poo say to the chicken. Three poos on your face. Norway is now made of poo. There's poo cheese on the chicken. It goes on and on and on... I get angry with him and then disappointed in myself because neither my temper nor my levelling with him has any effect AT ALL. Suggestions welcome... thank you

Poo is a favourite subject of children that age. They outgrow it.

No suggestions I'm afraid, just solidarity. I have three, all as interested in poo as your son. Just think it could be worse.

It’s totally normal. And if they see it’s getting a reaction it just encourages it.
I try my best ‘I’m bored’ face and ignore it
