Transition CAMHS - Adult MH Services?

Dd is 17.5 and currently been on a waiting list to see a CAMHS practitioner who might prescribe the medication recommended by NICE for her condition of therapy doesn't work (it didn't - CAMHS therapy).

What can I do to expedite/try to ensure she won't be going away to uni just when she gets transferred to adult services, IYSWIM?

Or is it going to be unavoidably awful?

Thank you.

My dd17 (18 in a month) has just been transferred. Cahms wrote to the doctor and the doctor text dd inviting her in for an appointment with the mental health team.

It is easier and quicker to get medication and services as an adult so far the change has been really positive.

Instead of waiting for months for appointments she was seen in less than a week.

Fingers crossed it is like this for your dd.

Oh that's encouraging, thanks!

Although we could do with the medication now rather than in five months....
