How do I find correct help for 14 year old with anxiety and emetophobia

My 14 year old has anxiety and emetophobia. Unfortunately, she is reluctant to seek help through school counsellor although will try and persuade her as obviously that is the quickest route. Also want to look at private options outside of school. Not sure what I need though - CBT/counselling/psychotherapy? And which websites are good to find correct person? Tried YoungMinds and BACP but not sure if I am looking in right place. Any guidance hugely appreciated as just want to get her some help.

Go to your GP and ask fit a referral. My daughter has had CBT via Step 2 which did help. Currently now with CAMHS and having psychotherapy for another (kind of related but different) issue.

Sorry she has this horrible phobia too. It’s not easy for anyone x

Nice guidelines recommend cbt. Chances are the school counsellor is trained in counselling, not cbt. And they probably have a lengthy waiting list.

Try your gp for a camhs referral. If no joy with that look at babcp for an accredited practitioner.
