Being sick - before/after/during exams

My son is in Y10 and they are doing mocks. First 3 days he was sick in am and went to school and was ok. On day 4 he was so sick so many times I thought it may be a stomach bug so kept him off. Off the next day because of 48 hour rule. Was better over bank holiday weekend. Then sick before school and got sent home after being sick during exam. Went to drs and they said they would rule out anything major and also give gaviscon to help with stomach acid.

it hasn’t helped so far and he managed one exam today with the help of the lovely pastoral worker. But didn’t manage the 2nd.

we’ve got time to work on it and I’m finding out what the school can offer but I’m after advice from anyone who has been through this.

Any good anti nausea cures? I’ve just bought ginger tea and some rescue remedy.

What sort of counselling helped? I’ve started researching but there’s so much out there. We’ve done some breathing stuff, progressive relaxation etc.

we’ve helped him organise his revision and he works hard and does well in school so it’s not like he making it up (which the unsympathetic welfare woman at the school annoyingly implied)

any help will be grateful received

thanks
