Zoom ASD Assessment

Just got a confirmation through that my DS(12) will be assessed via zoom next month. If anyone has been through a zoom assessment with a similar age child, are you able to share your experiences. It's about two years from his initial referral and I swing backwards and forwards as to whether his traits impact him sufficiently for a diagnosis or not. I do know he likely won't be comfortable with a zoom assessment though.

Hi
Good luck for the zoom meeting . You said your dc won't be comfortable with the zoom call . It's just a thought but have you explored this ? Has the agreement to test for a diagnosis been done alongside or with your dc and has he or she been part of that decision ? Does he or she understand what that are consenting to as at 12 (each individual I know ) they may have a really good understanding and with all the information of this is what he or she wants the zoom call might be less uncomfortable ?
This is a hard time for you too I imagine so hope your doing okay .
