Psychosis treatment and recovery time

Please need comforting and advice. My dd was diagnosed of psychosis and asd about a year ago when she was 14yo. She was in hospital for a few months. She is still on medications. She may need the medication for at least another year or even longer. Does anyone’s child has had psychosis in the past? How long did it take for them to recover? What are the long term effects on their daily live? I have found living with her very difficult. Her behaviour can be very unpredictable, dreadful mood swings and very annoying verbally. I have been doing my best to take care of her but whenever anything didn’t go right she would take it out on me. I feel I just keep giving and giving but could see only very little improvement over a very long period and sometimes things went backwards instead. She can catch up with her education in later years. However I really worry about her long term mental health and ability to become independent eventually.
