Hi my DD has been prescribed low dose Fluoxetine for OCD. Does anyone have any experience of a child taking this and what time of day might be better?
I read that morning is usually advised But then I’m worried she could take it and feel unwell at school the first week.
I wondered about taking it mid afternoon. She is 14
Any info gratefully received.

My DD takes it in the morning with breakfast.

My ds takes it first thing in the morning and gets on well with it. Of all the medicines he has had to be on this has significantly less side effects than any of the others.

Thank you did anyone have any side effects when they first started it?

Morning, always. It can disturb your sleep very badly if taken at night, as I discovered. When I mentioned this to the doctor she said it's definitely not recommended to take them at night.
