Childhood bereavement

My children's uncle is very ill and will die in the not too distant future. They adore him and are finding the change in him and uncertainty about the future very hard. My 9 year old especially (5 year old isn't so aware). Has anyone got any ideas for resources for supporting and managing bereavement in children, especially things we can do now, while he's still alive, to help them in the long term.

Winston's Wish and Child Bereavement UK may have some advice and helpful resources. I'm sorry your family is going through this.
