Im sobbing as I write this and am writing in hope that it will help us. My daughter is so amazing that this has truly cought me by surprise. Shes out going, shes smart I just would have never expected this. She has been making little cuts on the top part of her her arm and says she feels low and sad all of the time.
We have always been able to talk even talk through the issues she has with friends and school but she’s been keeping this secret. She has never been a straight A student but have had issues with talking in class and being distracted but nothing bad. We had a long talk tonight and I told her I love her no less and I am proud of her for showing and telling me and am here for her and that telling me is the first step in moving forward. I love my daughter so much and it breaks my heart to know that she is in this much pain. Is there a book I can read and have her read to help us through this. My daughter is an amazing beautiful spirit and I do not want her to see herself any other way. She is funny, beautiful, loving and kind. How can I make her feel better.
(Today was the 1st visit with the counselor)

Didn't want to leave you unanswered, you might find Teenagers a better place to post.
Young Minds is a good website and good that she's seeing a counsellor, hope things improve Flowers
