Does anyone have any experience of this? My healthy, happy 18 year old had 3 panic attacks last night leaving her worried and exhausted. We're going to the doctors tomorrow but I wondered if anyone had any useful info or experiences to share.

I suffered from these during a difficult time years ago … counselling helped, I think, and time.
I realise that this is not a very helpful comment, but you need a response.
Panic attacks are so terrifying; she needs comfort, warmth, chocolate, hugs, reassurance that they are ultimately harmless … and investigation into why this is happening.
JK Rowling's attacks from dementors are the best description I have read about how a panic attack feels.

Thanks for your reply. The doctor hasn't given us much advice so far. She's nervous about going out atm and seems quite exhausted. I'm glad she's home for the holidays but am dreading her going back to uni in a couple of weeks. Hopefully she will feel more in control by then. Thanks again!
