8 year old with issues.

Hi wondering if anyone had any advice /help with my son. He’s 8. He is reluctant to talk to his dad who lives with us and other people out with the family. Also seems to be in his own world 90% of the time happy to spend time on his own a lot. Doesn’t like writing finds it really hard. Seems to for get short term stuff like wat u have said to him 2 mins before hand. Quite happy to play games with younger kids and toys. Couldn’t leave him to use knife or cross road etc.
I don’t know where to ask for help. Tried school doc but all seem to take an age.

Hi. I hope you get replies to your question as I'm not sure how it works in England but in Ireland you go to your gp, you don't need to take your son with you. Ask your gp for a referral to your local camhs service. Explain your son's difficulties.
That's the first step to getting help.
