CAMHS referred 12yo ds for ASD and ADHD assessment last year. We have just been offered online assessment via Healios. Has anyone had experience of them? Can anyone advise about them?
CYPF say the current waiting list 'remains 20 months from referral', which would be another 10-12m for us, all being well. Assessment via Healios would give us an appointment within 2w.
It's tempting!
But can video-calls really substitue for face-to-face interviews?

Hi
I just got the same offer - did you take it up? Looking for advice as well

The CAMHS where I work buy in healios to help with the backlog of assessments. I've heard positive stories from families who have had them involved but I guess it's not for everyone! If it's just a one off assessment it might be worth accepting the offer, it doesn't necessarily mean the intervention will be online. Healios also offer online CBT, again not for everyone but through their assessment they will make some recommendations/ care plan.

Thanks for the reply. I have decided to go ahead with it as otherwise the wait is so long.

Hiya @Abite. Wondered if I could ask about your experience with Healios? We’ve just been offered them too for an ASD assessment. Any info v gratefully received. Thank.

I did this during Lockdown and it was fine. A lot of NHS hospitals have tendered out the more straightforward ND assessments to bring down w as sting lists.
