DS age 8 showing signs of depression

My DS has not long turned 8 years old and we have had concerns about his mental health for quite a few years. He is waiting to be seen by CAMHS, which will be happening in March for an ASD assessment. Over the past couple of years he has struggled badly with anxiety, especially at school. Today he has been off school because of an upset stomach but I have found him sitting alone looking very tearful. When I asked him what's wrong he said that he didn't know.
His has concerned me as I recognised those feelings that I had when I was about 14 years old and didn't know why I felt low and tearful.

There is a strong family history of depression and MH problems. Both of my elder DSs have struggles with MH too. Is there any online resources that we can access to help a young child until he can be seen by CAMHS?

Our DD is happy with Oxford CBT so I thought I'd recommend them if you didn't want to wait. I know you've mentioned online services specifically and they offer Skype counselling so it might be worth looking into.
