And I don’t know what to do to help him!
He’s almost 13 and has suffered with anxiety for 6 or so years but this has escalated since starting secondary school. The school good do give him some leeway but there is only so much they can do.
I understand his anxiety as I am a sufferer myself but I don’t know where to turn for help. The gp doesn’t really want to help, we saw CAHMS but they said unless he was suicidal they couldn’t help due to lack of funds. Last year we saw someone at a youth help group but tbh when he is out of his major panic he can talk rationally and in a very sensible way and will appear to be coping so they said he was doing fine (he is so not doing fine). I think they thought of me as a neurotic mother.
I’m even thinking of trying him on low dose CBD oil as I just don’t know what to do to help him come down from this constant stare of anxiety and panic?!
Has anyone else gone through this and what did you do to help? I don’t want this to ruin his life 🙁

Do you think a course of cbt would be worth trying? This helped my dd (12) although didn’t completely stop the panic attacks / anxiety. Would seeing a therapist privately be an option? If not I think it is possible to do an on line cbt course via the nhs. Maybe your gp would allow him to do that.
