I've been dismissed by GP and school.
My son talks of killing himself, murdering others and running away. One minute he is angry, the next he is as high as a kite.

He does this crossed eyed thing and sticks his tongue out when he is really excited.

But he behaves at school and is impeccably behaved at friends houses. The moment he gets home all hell breaks loose.

I am coping very well with his behaviour. I give him love when he needs it and I'm the bad guy when he crosses the line.

I don't want to him to reach adulthood with all this going on in his head just because I couldn't get him even the littlest bit of help. He is 6.

Does anyone have any advice where I can start?

If a six year old has suicidal ideation and thoughts of killing others I'd have thought he needed an emergency CAMHS referral. The first thing you need to do is see a different GP. Take notes if what he threatens, how often and the triggers.

Phone practice and ask to see the senior partner or a gp with an interest in child mental health.

Speak to your GP. There's nothing currently to suggest this would be a problem in adulthood. 6 year olds often express themselves verbally in very dramatic fashion because they lack the vocabulary and understanding of their own feelings and experiences to express them in an adult fashion so don't worry too much about that.

Speak to GP though.
