Today 08:59 par05
Hi I'm posting for a friend, her dd is obsessing about food and excersise, shes good friends with my dd, I don't really know how to help her, and her mum is really upset, as it's constant arguments over food and how much she eats, and when she goes to her room she's always excersising.. sit ups etc and wanting to go for runs! She's lost an awful lot of weight and def depressed.
Today 09:01 par05
She hasn't had any problems like this before so it's in the last few months

Hi. I've no experience of anorexia but I know Simone whose daughter has suffered from this. I would suggest your friend should take her daughter to the GO to get help. It's one of the hardest mental health conditions to treat but I believe the sooner you get help, the better. I'd also suggest looking at the website of a charity called BEAT. It has good advice on how to respond and deal with this.
