9yo dd and anxiety

My dd is quite an anxious child and worries a lot. Yesterday she had a panic attack at school, due to another child. I am going to speak to the school later today, but also wondering if there are any good books that we can read together to help her, also is it worth going to the gp? I'm wary about that because I don't want her to think it's a problem and then worry more, but also I want to get support in place for her.

There's a good book I've just given to my dd. Hang on...

Oh crap sorry about that. I was recommended to work through a chapter at a time with my dd. She's 11. In now at a point where I'm thinking about counselling for her as it's affecting her life a lot now Sad

That book is great - we're still working through it but it's already helped my DD who is also 9 a lot.

Thanks I will order the book and have a look at the website.

It's awful watching her struggle like this, I try and help her but it doesn't seem to be having much affect.
