SENCO won't ever respond

I wrote a thread a while ago about my Y7 dd suffering from severe anxiety and how I couldn't get her school 'wellbeing' dept to respond to me.

Well, after leaving many emails, voicemails etc the SENCO eventually called me back and said that the school councilor spoke to my dd and said she displayed no signs of anxiety, after I told her exactly how my dd was behaving she said that there were many red flags and that she would see the councilor every week.

She asked me to email her a letter of what I had told her and to let her know how an assessment with a private clinical psycologist went which I did.

Since then, nothing again. Despite messages left for her and questions in my email.
What am I doing wrong? I don't expect a reply within 5 mins, but it's been 3 weeks. I don't want to known as 'that parent' even though I haven't done anything wrong (or so I hope not).

Is the school counsellor seeing your DD every week, or have they not even started that yet?

If she is being seen, then I would be more tolerant. If not, I think you are entitled to email/phone again and hassle. If no response, can you contact the Headteacher?

It's not worth worrying about being 'that' parent. I have been 'that' parent for a long time now but I am way past caring. It's my DC's needs that are more important. Services are hugely overstretched and underfunded but I have to keep pushing for my DC.

Have you been to see your GP?

i'm not sure if dd has been given an appointment time to see the counsellor, I need to check with her.
No we haven't been to the GP, we did that and CAMHS a few years ago and it was no help at all so this time we have just gone privately instead.

Having read both your threads this school sounds awful. Hassle them.

I would email the SENCO again with all the information she requested - again...

I would include the Head of Year & Headmaster in the email. I would inform her that you will be bringing it to the headteachers & governers attention that you have contacted her on a number of occasions.

Sometimes you need 'to be that parent'. Your dc wellbeing is your priority not a SENCOs opionion.
