Meditation

My dd 9 has just been assessed by an Ed Psych who said she has some anxiety issues. He suggested finding a yoga class. Unfortunately this is almost impossible. I am on my own during the week with dd and her two younger brothers and spend most of it ferrying them to Beavers, Cubs, Brownies, taekwondo and swimming. My dd and I have spent some time looking through a book (Understanding Myself) recommended by a friend to understand some of our emotions better. However I would like to practise some meditation with her and learn some techniques to help her through situations that cause the anxiety. Can anyone sugest any sites/YouTube videos etc that we can look at?

Try these websites designed to be self help for young people

www.getselfhelp.co.uk/mindfulness

www.getselfhelp.co.uk and click on problems then click on anxiety

Lots of free materials/ resources on there

Thank you for those ideas. I have looked through the getselfhelp website and there are things in there I might use with my daughter. She seems to respond better if the info isn't coming directly from me and she can see it coming from another source.
