DS16 is currently living on his girlfriend's family's settee as he became threatening and violent at home. He is angry all of the time and blames me for any problems he has. He could not be challenged on his behaviour but missed exams and attempted to sleep with his 15yo gf at home on several occasions.

We live on a county border and his MAT team worker has told him she can no longer support him as he has changed counties, social services in that area have refused any responsibility as we live in another county. He is on a YMCA waiting list but they are doubtful he can get funding for a property without the support of ss.

This has been going on for 4 months now, I am ill and on a waiting list for counselling, our relationship has broken down and it is only a matter of time before he becomes homeless. I wake up at 4am every day thinking about what is going to happen. He has refused family mediation, I dont know where to turn.

I'm not in the same country so unfortunately have no practical advice on how to access support. I did however have a child in care with us for 11 years with ODD. He still visits us & it breaks my heart seeing the choices he is making for his life. He can be the most caring, lovely boy when he wants but the change in him when he kicks off is unbelievable. I remember the feelings of helplessness as the difficult little boy turned into an impossible teen. I really hope someone can point you towards the help you need.
