Lump in groin

I took my dd to the drs yesterday as she has had a lump in her groin for around a week. It's just bigger than a pea and very hard. The dr thinks it's just a swollen lymph node as she had a water infection 2 weeks ago and has asked to see us again in another 2 weeks. If they lump hasn't gone she is going to refer us to the hospital. After having a quick google I am now scared to death as to what the lump could be and am certain this morning it feels bigger ð???. Should I go back and ask to see another dr or just wait it out?

Stop feeling it. Sometimes you make things get more swollen by touching them a lot. I know it's worrying but there are so often swollen bits on that area or under armpits and often after an illness too. If he had been even ONE iota worried, he would have booked her into the hospital pronto...try not to check it for a couple of days and then have another feel.x

I've had a biggish lump walnut sized since I was tiny, also located near my groin. In my fifties and still have it. The doc I saw all those years ago described it has a "harmless ganglion." Untill then my poor mum was beside herself but the doctor was right so try not to worry until you know for sure.
