15 yr old son crying for no reason

Hi, as the title says I have a 15 year old who had just been crying his eyes out but says he doesn't know why. I like to say we have a good relationship, I've said whatever it is I don't Carey just want to help. But he says he doesn't know what it is......

Anyone had a similar experience? I feel sick to my stomach worrying about him.

There will be a reason. It's just that right now he is not ready to voice it.

Be there for him when he is ready to talk.

Either there is a reason but he isn't ready or able to tell you, or the reason is that he feels very upset or low for no outside reason, he's simply awash with hormones. People often don't realise that teenage boys also get flooded with hormones and go through their own emotional roller-coaster.

I think all you can do is reassure him that there is nothing he can't tell you, nothing that he could say that would affect how much you love him, and that whatever he needs, you are here for him.

Would he let you give him a hug? I know a hug doesn't solve problems but sometimes a child just needs to be held for the safe feeling it brings.

I feel for you. You must feel so helpless, I know I do when my sons are upset like that. xxxxx

God I remember 15. Bloody horrid. Sometimes you just felt so overwhelmed with everything.

If he's talking it's good. I have no advice just memories of how up and down it could be x

I've told him whatever it may be I'm there, I said he can write it in a message whatever. I guess my job is to keep an eye on him.. He has a long term girlfriend, apparently nothing wrong there.

He said he just gets like it and he doesn't know why, but if he's anything like me there will be a reason!

He has had some grief with his dad over the last year, and is seeing him tomorrow, maybe that hasn't helped.

I don't want to annoy him with questions, just going to try spend time and have a laugh with him. Xxx

Forgot to say, he doesn't mind hugs, I've had a few from him lately for buying concert tickets etc :) xxx
