my 3 year old wont poo on toilet

hiya my 3 year old little girl has been potty trained for 8 months and now uses the toilet and uses the toilet at nursery but she will not have poo unless its in a nappy and she hides ive tryed talkind to explainenin every1 does it and tryed puttin a nappy on her and sittin her on toilet with it on but she says its hurts and tryed puttin her poo put off nappy down toilet nothing seems to work he also said poo comes out of her foofo and i explained and showed her where it came from,i am at a lose as to wat to do

Have you tried stickers or some sort of "treat"? I'm a childminder and a child wouldn't use the toilet at all. The mum used chocolate buttons but as I wasn't happy using them she gave me a packet of yoghurt covered raisons. Mum thought that we were going to use the whole pack for one sitting. The child only needed one.

This child also likes being read to on the toilet. Especially one that talks about going on the potty.

If your girl is complaining that it hurts maybe give her some more fruit so it loosens the stool a bit more.

Being her mum you might be able to show her when you go to poo so that she see's it's ok to go and that others do it? (even though you have tryied this in a way)

It's a worrying time for children as they feel like there is something coming away from them. So even if it doesn't hurt it might be the fear there.

My D was the same. We made up a poo song about the poo going down the toilet to the sea. I had to go in front of her then show her what happened when we flushed and sing the song. Eventually she caught on...
