watched a programme last night featuring an obese woman seeing a hypnotherapist for help with controlling eating and it really seemed to be helping her.

It struck me that something like this might really help my nearly 12 yr old DD with her anxiety.

Anyone here have any experience?

Try one of the Paul McKenna books. They have a CD that you can listen to as you drop off to sleep. Dd used one before her exams because she was anxious & she said it helped.

I have a freind who had a 'virtual' gastric band fitted under hypnosis. She said it's brilliant!

Hi
I am also considering hyponotherapy for my 10yr DD - recently having anxiety/panic issues aboout things and being 'sick'.
Is it safe for children and why do doctors seem negative about it?
thanks
