I noticed a White patch on the base of both her toe nails last week and thought crumbs I hope it's not the start of a fungal nail infection FGS she's only 1 . Anyway I bathed her this morning and always dry thoroughly between toes and noticed nothing.
Tonight DH took her tights off and her one toe nail is literally hanging by a thread. We've popped a pair of socks on and left it but could easily just take it off.
The thing is my nails are in a terrible state , but 4 samples have all proved it's not fungal. Also I,ve had it about 6 years and sleeping with DH all that time and living in house with other dc no one had similar so assumed it's not contagious.I really hope it's not fungal because it may be my fault and she's so young.
I think her wellies which she absolutely adores and wears every day are tight . Could this cause her young nail to dislodge. They are so soft and I'm hoping it might be this as at least I can sort it by getting a bigger pair. She's bare foot most of he time and I didn't put her in shoes until shed been walking at least 2 months and then only if I had to . Howev she puts her wells on a lot and they are quite tight.
Just wounded if anyone had similar or if were on the route I am with years of horrid nails poor girl. TIA x
