Chicken keepers

Meet others keeping chickens on our Mumsnet Chicken forum.

I've accorted the fact that we have tatty and threadbare chickens but its bloody cold out there now, won't they all drop dead without a full feathery body?

As long as they have somehwere sheltered at night they should be fine.
I've had ones that lived outside all year round and perched on branches at night.
A couple of mine are very bare at moment too - a very late moult.

this is a plucking problem on top of a moult I think.

one chicken has developed a taste for feathers off every other chicken....
