Oh what a great day. Finally grew some balls and let the three hens out for a free-range around the garden.

Put the dog on his lead and let him get up close and personal - whaddya know - they all got on like a house on fire. Two of the chooks cuddled up close to the dog for a sunbathe and the dog didn't bat an eye lid.

Finally gathered my courage together and let dog off lead - dog goes into the run, the chooks follow him and the four of them all chilled out together!

After school run, gave both kids a plastic bowel full of sweet corn and the chickens ate from the dishes whilst the kids held them. Then the dog put his snout in and ate with them (bet he shits through the eye of a needle later )

arf at 'bowel of sweet corn'.

I try and let ours out for at least an hour a day, so good for them. Our dog mostly ignores them - but he's an old hand, though he does try and piss the cockerel off sometimes.
